Common name: Enokitake, White Enoki
Enoki mushrooms are a long, thin, white mushroom with a mild flavor and crunchy texture, which are popular in Japanese, Chinese, and Korean cuisines. They’re typically sold in clusters and are used in soups, stir-frys, hot pots, salads, and other dishes.
Enoki mushrooms are decomposers that can grow in any number of organic substrates, but they tend to favor hardwood sawdust. However, you’ll also get successful results using straw or ordinary garden compost.
Can be grown in bottles or filter patch bags the same way as my other species.
