Black Pearl King Oyster Mushroom Liquid Culture Syringe, 10ml

WHAT YOU RECEIVE
One 10ml liquid culture syringe of the species named in this listing. This is live mycelium for cultivation, not a complete grow kit, spore syringe, or ready-to-fruit block. Grain spawn, substrate, agar plates, and growing equipment are not included. I do not currently sell grain spawn or substrate. Please source or prepare the appropriate growing medium and review a suitable method before use. Growing conditions and timelines vary by species and setup.

SPECIES DETAILS AND TUTORIALS
The Black Pearl Oyster or Black Pearl King Oyster is a oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) hybrid from Japan. It is the result of a cross between a European and an Asian Pleurotus ostreatus. It grows and looks much like Pleurotus eryngii (King Oyster) in the beginning as it matures it will look more like a Pleurotus ostreatus (Pearl Oyster).

Black Pearl Kings are less finicky than Pleurotus eryngii, and are able to grow very well indoors. Grows on the same substrates as pearl or king oysters such as masters mix or hardwood sawdust (HWFP). It is a fast substrate colonizer that fruits dense, meaty mushrooms.

Fruiting Conditions:
Temperature: 50-68F
Humidity: 85-90%


Recommended use: Inoculate an appropriate sterile growing medium using clean technique. Testing a small sample on agar first can help assess growth and cleanliness. Follow a method suited to the selected species; expanding into more liquid culture is optional.

Storage: Can be left at room temperature for up to 6 months, and refrigerated for longer than 1 year.
